Hello! We’re the team behind Make Play. We are three parent artists living in Ipswich with our families doing our dream job; combining our love for making with our passion for childhood creativity.
We create uniquely engaging open-ended play environments, designed to ignite imaginations and inspire creativity as well as more structured projects for children in KS1 and KS2.
We want to help build the confidence & skills of young children and adults alike, raise expectations around play and facilitate new opportunities to learn from each other.
We encourage parents and families to join in with our sessions, creating new work for the playscapes and finding or sustaining a passion for creativity.
Our sessions build on children’s natural curiosity, helping them to learn about their world through play.
Everything at a Make Play session is handmade by ourselves or co-produced with children and adults in our groups. Our play environments and projects constantly evolve as we watch and learn from children’s play.
