MAKE

 PLAY

Make Play is an Ipswich based arts organisation creating innovative intriguing spaces and projects for children & their families

We are passionate about providing young children with space and time to explore and nurture their creative potential.

We believe that art and creativity is essential for all of us and a powerful tool to make sense of our world.

We design and create unique colourful, sensory and haptic play environments and projects using handmade, recycled & repurposed materials.

Make with us

Want to make something beautiful – and be part of something new?

We’re inviting local mums to join a FREE creative making session with Make Play — a relaxing, colourful, no-pressure space to create and connect. This is part of an exciting new idea we’re testing out with Suffolk Libraries — and we’d love your help shaping it! We're in the process of designing a creative playscape for early years children, and the pieces you make will actually become part of it.

No experience needed at all — just bring yourself, have a play with the materials, and let us know what you think!

Can’t make it in person? No worries! We’ve got a Zoom session on Monday 24th November, 10–11am — and we’ll post you a FREE craft kit so you can join from home.

Everything is provided — just show up and have a go. Your voice and creativity will help us shape something special for Suffolk families.

17th November - Ipswich County Library

18th November - Gainsborough Library

What we do

  • We work with schools to deliver projects that inspire children to share their creativity, uncover a powerful sense of achievement and relate to each other

  • We provide play opportunities for children in the Early Years focussed on discovery, curiosity and experimentation

  • We work with organisations to create new opportunities for their audiences to connect to heritage, creativity and embark on a lifelong interest in the arts

  • We deliver training (CPD) around the importance of play and creativity as well as team building sessions focussed on creative problem solving skills, working together and thinking outside of the box.
